Bon Accord Bike Ride (20 May)

Once again, the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Bon Accord are encouraging all cyclists, young and old, first timers and experienced, individuals, families and teams to participate in a bike ride gfor their nominated charities and also have a fun day out.

The run consists of 2 routes, one for the younger cyclist in and around Hazlehead Park and the other for the more experienced rider out into picturesque Deeside.

Starts at 12 noon at the bus turning area on Hazlehead Avenue.

Every cyclist will receive a memento of the occasion and prizes will be awrded to both individuals and teams raising the most sponsorship.

BP Summer Screens 2012 (17 May)

The perfect Summer evening out.
A beautiful staging of a favourite opera brings Puccini's La Boheme back to the Royal Opera House and on the BP Summer Screens 2012.

Relayed live from the Royal Opera House to the Duthie Park, see FREE as part of BP's support for access to excellence in the arts.

Running time is approx 2 hours and 45 minutes. Entry to the park is by Polmuir Road or Riverside Drive. Wherever possible please use public transport as parking is limited in and around the park. You are welcome to bring a picnic and your own seating. The bye law "Drinking in Public Places" will be suspended for this event and applies ONLY to the main grass area of the park. A selection of hot and cold drinks and light snacks will be available to purchase. Toilets will also be available.

Please dress appropriately for any anticipated weather conditions.

Back by popular demand, get set to sparkle and shine at the 4th Trainers and Tiaras charity walk.

Enjoy a walk along the Old Deeside Railway Line and retirn to the Duthie Park to join in the party at the Winter Gardens. Live entertainment, good food, refreshments, beauty treatments and therapies all await you.

This year's funds will once again go towards the cost of creating a fabulous Breast Cancer Support Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
